JULY 7, 2009: A DAY I'LL NEVER FORGET

Tamara & Michael Jackson, November 2007
Today, I am 30! On July 7, 1979, I was born in Rocky Ford, CO to parents Dorothy & Carl Holder. I was their first child and my grandparents', Greta & Frank Holder and Ceil Eisenberg, first grandchild. As I enter the next decade of life, I hope to contribute as much as I can to society. As a criminal defense attorney, owner of www.xpunged.com, and TV legal analyst, I feel I have come a long way in 30 years. Life hasn't been easy, especially in the early years. But each day is a new beginning and I hope G-d blesses me with many more opportunities to succeed, make new friends and grow as a person.
Today is also a day of sadness as it is Michael Jackson's memorial service in Los Angeles. Michael is one of my favorite artists of all time. He and BB King were the only famous people I ever wanted to meet. Lucky me, I recently met both. I got to spend some one-on-one time with him in his first public appearance since his acquittal. He was warm, kind, sincere and a bit shy. I feel so fortunate to have been able to meet him and share som private time with him. Rest in peace, Michael.
